Here is a little about myself, and why I chose to be an artist

Currently I am stay at home mom of three beautiful children, a loving wife to an incredible husband, and a daughter to an amazing father. (Yes I know everyone has a dad) But my dad has been a big part of my journey as an artist.

Shortly after turning 20, my whole life took a turn that I never expected! Blessed with a beautiful baby girl in September of 2013, everything seemed surreal and amazing. But only one month to the day later, I was faced with the most devastating experience of my life - The loss of my mom changed the world as I new it, as well as the person that I had planned to be!

Though the support of my Husband, my father and two reasons I got out of bed every Morning, my children, (I have a step son who was

As an only child art was something I was drawn to because it was a way to easily entertain myself. In school realism art came easy to me so it quickly became one of my favorite classroom activities.

Art also runs sparsely through my family, my cousin and I were very close and art was another way we connected. Both he and I enjoyed encouraging one another to improve our skills and frequently gave each other advice due to us having different skill levels in opposing types of art. I was very good at visual art such as landscapes, Architecture, Observational, ect. My cousin on the other hand is a creative artist, much like his dad, who was the person who gave me my first sketch book.

I took art classes though out  middle school, gaining knowledge and experience in a number of different mediums, including pottery, sculpting,

and even wood work. At this stage in my life I began to become very interested in others art, and was often searching though art book and the internet to admire and attempt to recreate these beautiful works of art in my own way. *upper left image - one of my attempts at recreating a piece I admired.

Once I reached high school the direction of my art took a slight change, the school I chose to attend was much more technology based. Therefor I was then able to expand my knowledge into digital art and photography. Both of which I still love to do. Pencil drawing was of course still necessary and was something I included into my school work as often as I could!

It wasn't until after my moms passing that art began to become more than just a hobby. I had posted my work on social media simply to share what I was doing, and after doing so I began to receive requests for my art work.
